We’re Looking for New Authors

An author/publisher relationship should be a close alliance; a partnership to achieve the same goal – the success of your book.

Do you have a great book inside you? The world is hungry for expertise, entertainment, guidance, wisdom, and enlightenment. In short, there are more readers seeking knowledge and entertainment than there is content to give them.

The demand for new authors is high.

Whether you just have a single idea or area of expertise that you’d like to write a book about, or whether you’d really like to make a full-time living as a writer… now is the time. There is a window in the marketplace and the opportunity to make a name for yourself has never been greater.

Here’s the deal… you write, we’ll take care of everything else.

So many potential writers never get started because:

  • It can cost thousands of dollars to edit, buy cover art, and format a manuscript
  • It can take hundreds of hours to do these things – you may find that you spend more time at this than actually writing
  •  It takes a lot of additional time, money, and knowledge to market your book – There are a lot of great books out there that just don’t sell (nobody knows about them)

If you’re even thinking about writing a book, contact us and we’ll set-up a phone call to discuss the possibilities. We take a personal interest in our authors and are looking to build good relationships.

You might also want to consider signing up for our Author’s Mentoring Program. It’s designed for aspiring writers that would like help and feedback through the writing process.

All Genres Welcome…

Your Genre is the type of subject you’re writing about. We work with all genres.

How you categorize your book can be critical to your success. It will either be fiction or non-fiction.

Fiction can include such categories as Romance, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Thrillers, Erotica, LGBT, Horror, Westerns, Political Thrillers, Crime, Mysteries, Historical Fiction, Humor, Children’s and more.

Non-fiction can include such categories as Business, Biographical, Historical, Political, True Crime, Documentary, Instruction Manuels, Cookbooks, Religious, Professional, Self-Improvement, Motivational and more.

What many, many authors overlook is the opportunity to cross-categorize your book. When done correctly this can double or triple the success or profits from your book.

This is a complicated subject and we can implement for you a sophisticated marketing plan that incorporates these strategies.

The Importance of Editing…

On my first book I foolishly assumed that I could do my own editing…

stock-photo-8245569-editing-of-a-mystery-novelI’m decently intelligent and have written letters, instruction manuals, proposals and many other things throughout my thirty-year business career. I assumed that I wouldn’t have any problem making sure my manuscript had correct spelling, word usage, and formatting. I was certain that I could write a paragraph that wasn’t confusing or repetitive.

Boy was I wrong…

What I didn’t realize is that after staring at the same pages day after day, month after month, your brain starts glossing over the little errors and you don’t even see them!

It wasn’t until after I published and started getting killed in the reviews for bad punctuation, etc. that I realized my error. After being away from it for a month I went back and read it again and was appalled at all the mistakes!

Take my word for it, you need a fresh set of eyes to critically read your manuscript before you publish. I was fortunate that I had enough positive reviews to somewhat offset the negative, but I am convinced that those initial bad reviews kept me from reaching the #1 Bestseller slot – and that could have been worth tens of thousands of dollars to me (or more)!

As part of our services we will edit your manuscript so you can avoid the same mistakes.

Print vs eBook and Audiobook

60% of all new books are in Print, but 60% of all Author’s Revenues are from eBooks…

stock-photo-67346609-teen-with-headphones-on-a-sound-mixer-speaking-into-a-microphoneIn other words, just 40% of the market is responsible for 60% of all the income authors make – and this doesn’t even take into account the commissions from Audiobooks.

Here’s what it boils down to: If you just want the satisfaction of seeing your name in print there is nothing wrong with going the print route (and we can help you with that). But if you would also like to earn a decent part-time or full-time income then we would strongly urge you to start with an eBook.

This is the same decision I was faced with when I wrote my first book – and I’m very glad I chose the eBook route.

You want to be in front of the trends, not behind them. eBooks and Audiobooks are the future. With faster publishing times, lower publishing costs, higher commissions, and an expanding market of readers anxiously looking for new content, it is almost a no-brainer.

Also, remember this… only 40% of all author revenue comes from print books – but it’s actually worse than that! 90% of that 40% goes to big-name authors! In other words, unless you already have a huge name in print media you’re going to starve!
